Fritzi has a 35-year interest in apologetics, especially science-faith issues.  She joined Ratio Christi in mid-2016 because of her interest in coming alongside high school and university students who are searching for reasons to follow and continue following Jesus.   She has been happily married to Andy for 30+ years and is the mother of two grown sons.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University in Houston, Texas, worked for seven years for two engineering consulting firms, then spent the next 21 years as a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling kindergarten through calculus.  After raising her family she took on bookkeeping for her husband’s small businesses while continuing homemaking and volunteering.    During her 27+ years residing in Tucson, she has held several board-of-director positions in her neighborhood association and served in the children’s and music ministries at her church.  When not working, she pursues her interests in guitar, rainwater harvesting, desert landscaping, gardening, nutrition, exercise, tutoring, and apologetics.

Testimony

Fritzi grew up in a stable and kind family with most of her extended family nearby.  Always curious about both faith and science and an avid reader, she subscribed to science magazines beginning at age 11 and read the Koran, the Book of Mormon, and parts of the Bible before graduating from high school.   In spite of having grown up attending church on Sundays, and because of the influence of a famous musical family in her life, her theological thinking upon leaving home for the university was really more Mormon than Christian.

During her junior year as an exchange student at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA, she made friends with three Bible-literate Christians who began to answer questions that had been puzzling her for years.  That semester she trusted Christ as Lord and Savior and began growing in faith through Bible reading and good discussions.
