My journey to the mission field was prompted while I was a music teacher in Falls City, Nebraska. My Christian beliefs were challenged by some door-to-door proselytizers. While conversing, I was confronted with my own inadequacies for defending the Gospel message and Christian faith. This frustration drove me to study, eventually getting my Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D.Min from Manna University. While attending a leadership conference I was challenged with the question, “What’s your grander vision?” This hefty question prompted me to evaluate my purpose in life. Ratio Christi’s mission and vision lined up with my own grander vision. My wife, Kara, and I live in Omaha, Nebraska and have three beautiful children, Eleanor, Whitaker, and Rozilyn.
