Kevin Bywater
I am Kevin James Bywater. Previously I served as the Director and Resident Scholar at the Oxford Study Centre in Oxford, England. I am now located in North Texas, working primarily with students attending the University of North Texas.
My formal education is in philosophy, biblical theology, New Testament studies, and the history of Second Temple Judaism. I am a former Mormon with strong teaching interests in Judaism, Islam, Mormonism (and other pseudo-Christian religions), worldview analysis, critical thinking, and biblical interpretation.
Alongside my scholarly work, one of my greatest joys in life has been mentoring university-aged students as they traverse some of the most significant years of their lives, years in which they will clarify their convictions and forge durable identities. With Ratio Christi, my purpose is to provide training in apologetics, worldviews, biblical studies, and theology, with the ultimate aim that we may increasingly share in Jesus's affections and aversions—that we may desire what he desires and despise what he despises.
Your support helps me to mentor students with generous hospitality, to continue my research and writing for the body of Christ, and to be increasingly ready to serve our students with regard to important but common topics, with keen attention to pressing, contemporary concerns and challenges.
You may partner with me through recurring or periodic gifts made by credit or debit card, or by a secure electronic transfer from your bank. Enter an amount in the box above to give today.
I am truly grateful for your generosity. Thank you!
