"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear" 1 Peter 3:15

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?" Romans 10:14-15

It's clear that we, as Christians, should be equipped with a defense for the Gospel message, but how are we to go out into the world with this defense if we are not sent? This is why I—like so many missionaries, apologist, and disciples before me—need partners to support me through praying and through giving financially. This financial support is not aimed at providing a lavish lifestyle. Instead, it is a precious gift given to God that He then gives to supported missionaries who steward it with the utmost care in order to fulfill His calling in their lives. This calling in my life is nothing more and nothing less than sowing seeds on the University of Tennessee, making straight the way of the Lord. 

"The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein." Psalm 24:1
