Duran Smith started with Ratio Christi as the student president of his chapter at Georgia State University in 2017, but he has been involved in apologetics evangelism long before that. Apologetics has been a lifelong passion for Duran, who is fascinated by the historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, the scientific evidence for the Shroud of Turin, and his unique philosophical approach to beauty and the arts. In addition to studying film production and acting at Biola University in Los Angeles and at Georgia State University in Atlanta, he is also pursuing a master's in philosophy from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Duran leads a Ratio Christi chapter in Atlanta at the Church of the Apostles, and he is currently raising monthly support to pursue apologetics evangelism as a full-time job.
